BULGOGI _ Korean Beef Bulgogi

About the Recipe

Bulgogi, a classic Korean grilled beef, is so easy to make and fun to eat with friends and family. Tender pieces of caramelized beef with crunchy sweet vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Thin sliced rib eye 600g 

  • 1/2 Onion

  • 2 Green onions

  • 1pk Enoki Mushroom (any mushroom is fine)

  • 1/2 Carrot

  • 1Tbsp Sugar

  • 6Tbsp Soy sauce

  • 1Tbsp Fish sauce

  • 2Tbsp Garlic (minced)

  • 3Tbsp Cooking wine

  • 2Tbsp Corn syrup

  • Black pepper

  • 1Tbsp Sesame oil

Preparation

Step 1 _ Prepare the ingredients 


  1.  Pat meat with papertowel to remove excess blood and cut the meat into bite size pieses.

  2. Slice the 1/2 carrot, 1/2 onion into thin strips. and chop the 2 green onions.

  3. Trim bottom off the 1 enoki mushroom



Step 2 _ Marinate the Beef


  1.  First, mix the beef with 1Tbsp sugar in a bowl.

  2. Add all sauce ingredients (soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, cooking wine, corn syrup, black pepper, sesame oil) and mix together. 

  3. Marinate at least for 10 minutes.



Step 3 _ Cook the beef & Serve your dish


  1.  In a large pan, heat oil on medium high until hot and add chopped green onions.

  2. Add the marinated beef and chopped onions,carrots to heated pan ; Cook stirring constantly until cooked through.

  3. Add the enoki mushroom ; stirring together for approx. 30 second to 1minute. 

  4. Turn off the heat. Taste.

  5. Garnish with the sliced green tops of the green onion and sesame seeds. (if you have)
