About the Recipe
Japchae is a very popular Korean dish. It is the number one sought after dish particularly during the Korean festive holidays but it is also enjoyed on any other common day as well.
10oz Glass noodles
7oz Pork shoulder
1Tbsp Minced garlic
2Tbsp Corn sugar
8Tbsp Soy sauce
4Tbsp Sesame oil
Step 1_ Prepare the ingredients.
Keep the glass noodles in the cold water ; 30minute.
Rinse the spinach.
Slice the Onion, Carrot.
Pat meat with paper towel to remove excess blood and slice into thin strips.
Step 2_Cook the meat &Vegetable
In a Large pan, heat oil on medium-high until hot.
Add half Onions, all meat and season with salt and pepper. ; Cook until onions are clear.
Add the remaining half of sliced onion, carrot and spinach ; Cook stirring constantly.
Turn off the heat. let stand.
Step 3_Cook the flass noodles.
Mix all the sauce ingredients. (8 part soy sauce, 2 part Corn syrup, 2 part sugar, 1part minced garlic, 4 part sesame oil)
Fill a medium pot 3/4 of the way up with water.
Once boiling, add the glass noodles and cook uncovered 4 miniutes or until tender.
Turn off the heat.
In the same pot, heat 1tbsp Oilve oil on medium-high until hot.
Add the glass noodles and 1/3 of the sauce ; Cook stirring constantily for 2 minite.
Turn off the heat and let stand to cool down.
Step 4_Mix the cooked veggie,meat and glass noodle & serve your dish
In the cooked glass noodles pot, add the cooked meat and vegetable and 2/3 of the sauce and mix together.
Taste, then season with salt and pepper if desired.
Garnish with sesame seeds on top.
